The Aquarian Minyan is an independent egalitarian Jewish spiritual community dedicated to the personal, interpersonal, and
spiritual evolution of its members and a continued vibrancy of Judaism. Founded in 1974 by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi,
it draws its inspiration from Hasidism, mystical traditions, and the Jewish Renewal Movement, combining traditional Jewish
practice with innovative ritual and prayers. The Sabbath is celebrated in members' homes, and the community also engage itself
in larger holidays and life cycle celebrations. Members also attend and/or participate in classes and lectures, concerts,
retreats, the Joys of Jewishing summer camp, and other religious and cultural events and projects, including, Agada, a Jewish
literary magazine. Now considered a congregation.
